If you’re looking for an easy-peasy workout, the 1000 workout is not for you. Good day, good sir.

I did this workout with my HIIT class two days ago…and my legs are still. so. sore. Like, so sore. That being said, this was one of those workouts that, after the 2nd round, I was like, “There’s no way we’re finishing this workout.” But, guess what? We did! We finished! And the feeling of accomplishing something you didn’t think you could accomplish is one of the best feelings a person can have!

Huge shout out to my friend Brad, who had the brilliant idea of putting 1-legged burpees into the HIIT circuit. 200 burpees later and I am feeling it! I’m also feeling the 100 push-ups. And the lunge pops. And squat jumps…

Anyway, don’t be afraid. If you’re up for a fitness challenge and want to channel your inner badass, the 1000 workout is just what the doctor ordered. Get after it, already!

My HIIT workouts are designed so they can be done on your own, wherever you are, without needing weights or other exercise equipment. But I promise you you'll push yourself harder—and have a lot more fun—in one of my classes. Join us next Tuesday from 6:30-7:30pm at Central Rock Gym in Randolph, MA.

The 1000 Workout

Stretch & Warm-Up: Stretch out and jump rope in place for about a minute, just to get your heart rate up.

10/15/20: 10 of each jumping jacks, mountain climbers and burpees (back-to-back with no rests), followed by 15 of each, and then 20 of each. Seriously, don’t stop, don’t rest…
